Our Service

Ah-shawah-bin Sioux Lookout / Lac Seul Victim Support Services is governed by a volunteer community board, and is primarily funded by the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General.

The service area encompasses the Municipality of Sioux Lookout (including Hudson and Alcona), and the First Nation community of Lac Seul (including Frenchman’s Head, Kejick Bay, and Whitefish Bay).

The service is client-driven and community-based.

All services are provided free of charge.

Service is provided to individuals 16 years of age or older.

This is a voluntary service. Third party referrals from any source will be accepted with prior consent of the client.

Our team of trained volunteers offer confidential assistance to victims 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Protocols are in place vis-à-vis other service providers and community partners to engender integration and coordination of services for victims.
